New home.

I decided to delete my first few posts just so I could put this better longer one as my introductory post. lol. I think I’ll be posting more here than in LJ/Multiply from now on ’cause I now find the view your friends page feature kind of bothersome. I’m not that much of an attention whore anyway so I think it is better to update here and not to spam my friends list with posts that they’ll eventually just skip through.

This blog will mostly be filled with fandom-related things and a few real life stuff from time to time, but it’s not like anyone’s interested about it either. lol. I also tend to be lazy and just lurk around and/or watch shows the whole time so it has kind of become a habit to update after 34782934 days. But I’ll try to post here as often as I can even if it’ll only include nonsense one-liners, it still counts as an update right? lol.

So yes, fandom. I have to say this’ll be the longest one that I’ve ever been hooked on. I was never a fan of any particular artist to the extent of looking for more infos, searching for more pictures and downloading and watching tv shows until I saw Matsumoto Jun.

LOL. There, the Jun-bait. It’s the usual story actually, where fans watched him in Gokusen, awed by that tough-looking Sawada Shin and was interested to know his real name and how popular he is in Japan. That’s the only thing I’m thankful to GMA (a local channel) for; when they aired that drama I knew I was gonna love it, it was just that I have classes during its airing so I only got the chance to watch it during summer of ‘06 when they had a rerun. But it was until late December when I decided to rewatch the drama online and find more info about that guy who played Sawada Shin, who I only know is named Matsumoto Jun and is a member of a boyband whose name I can’t even remember.

Then came April. The past 4 months I got hooked on HanaDan and Arashi. I found out Jun doesn’t have the best singing voice, the nicest dance moves, nor the most flawless skin, but he was still the guy that I try to find first whenever I see any Arashi vids, not to mention Tsukasa was like my fave drama character that time (next to Sawada). I knew they’re part of this agency called Johnny’s Entertainment. Watched the 2007 year-end countdown and skipped until their part. I didn’t know anyone except Arashi, I thought everyone looked the same. Then I saw Yamashita Tomohisa, on his birthday.

After finishing most of Jun’s dramas that I could get my hands on, that was when my interest on Jdramas started. I went over at d-addicts and came across this thread about recommended dramas. Nobuta Wo Produce seems to be interesting, but Stand Up! also has this guy from Arashi too, so I decided to watch both. I ended up finishing the former first ’cause the latter’s subs aren’t finished yet. Wait, this certain guy starred on both dramas but he looked different. Though I noticed him first on Stand Up!, I ended up liking him in Nobuta.

Everything else followed. So his name’s Yamashita Tomohisa, nickname’s Yamapi, same agency with Arashi, sang the theme song “Seishun Amigo” with Kamenashi Kazuya who’s also one of the Johnny’s. The song’s nice, actually the second Japanese song I’ve come to like after Love So Sweet. Talk about drama influence. Then there’s Kurosagi. He was the lead actor. After watching the first episode I immediately became a fan. Then I knew he was part of a group called NEWS, who just got back from a few months’ suspension because of two members caught of underage drinking. But unlike Arashi, I didn’t look for more infos about them, I thought 6 was too many. I decided to read more about him and watch more dramas instead. Many fans were saying 1 Litre of Tears was good. I gave it a try. Even before the end of the first episode, I was already mesmerized by Nishikido Ryo. Wait, I knew I’ve seen this guy somewhere.

I loved Asou Haruto and actually thought he’s the best character among all my favorites that time. 1LoT also became my favorite drama. I knew it, he’s the guy who was interviewed alongside Jun on a particular Music Station guesting. Him and Yamapi are part of NEWS. He’s also in the same agency. Then I realized I was so eager to know more about this guy, and decided to give NEWS a try, since two of the guys I like are part of it. I came across Helen’s blog. I found out about Yamapi and Ryo’s friendship. I became a RyoPi fan. But wait, Ryo’s in two groups?

Another one from Johnny’s? Now with 7 members? The other guy from NEWS who was suspended was also part of this group. They’re called Kanjani8. This will be the first time I’ll listen to a group that I still don’t know the members’ names, only Ryo. First video watched: Zukkoke Otokomichi in Shounen Club Premium. Reaction: O_o but first time I laughed over a certain group. They’re fun. I think I’m going to like them. I still don’t know their names though.

That actually happened in less than a month. For a few days there were so much Arashi, YamaPi, Ryo and Kanjani8 catching up. I got into a Junior phase frenzy and found out a lot of stuff about those guys before they debuted on their respective groups. I thought Ryo was the cutest chibi, Pi was the prettiest, Jun was the clumsiest, and this guy, he looks like the guy from HanaDan. *searches wiki for the cast again*. So his name’s Ikuta Toma. Ah, he’s the guy I kept on reading together with Pi. They might be close during their Junior days too, huh. Read Helen’s blog again. Instantly became a TomaPi fan.

For a while my interests stayed there. Got more familiar with Johnny’s Entertainment and was introduced on the other groups. Watched more shows especially the old ones where they were still Juniors and had more interaction compared now that they have their own groups. Basically got the hang of the shiny costumes, occasional off-key voices, Jimusho rules, different types of fangirls and everything else related to the fandom.

Whenever I watch a certain drama with some good non-Johnny’s actors in it, I tend to drool over them only until the end of the drama and then I eventually get over it. I thought the Johnny’s fandom was already too much for me to manage. Too many guys, too many groups, too many names. Not until I watched Mizushima Hiro.

No, he doesn’t remind me of Matsumoto Jun. Never. Aside from Ikuta Toma, he was the best thing about Hana Kimi. He’s not from Johnny’s, I know. But I was really eager to know this guy. Then I watched Kamen Rider Kabuto. Nevermind the fight scenes, he was hot and was added to my list of favorite guys right away. Also, plus points for him being fluent in English.

My favorite guys will definitely increase over time but I’d say that I would want to keep those that I’ve mentioned for a long time. I’m also starting to explore Jpop and listen to other artists and so far Yui has become an interest too.

edit: tl;dr for a first entry. lol.

Okay. HISTORY OF FANDOM. Thank you for the enlightenment. xD GAD, LET ME TELL YOU MINE TOO!! :D DD

Gokusen. Jun-bait. Slash that, SHUN-BAIT. I watched Shun in a movie, Azumi, with Aya Ueto. After that, I liked him. ♥ I was happy when I found out that horse was in Gokusen and frequently looked for him, BUT WAIT! WHO IS THAT SAWADA SHIN THINGY?! I then got Jun-baited. Found out about that group I’ve been seeing at the Animax Musix thing and apparently they’re that popular boyband in Japan. That was about June 2006. Started flailing over Nino. When I knew more about Nino, Jun never became my “ichiban” again. Nino is such a nice guy… when he writes in his nikki. LOL. In RL he gropes Ohchan’s butt but I got no problem with that. And besides, let’s say the Jun does have the acting skills, but keel people who says Nino doesn’t. H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D. Clint Eastwood? Come on. Hahaha.

Then after that, I couldn’t believe Gokusen ended, and I thought it was THE BEST JDRAMA EVAAAARRRRR!!111 When I saw Gokusen 2, I was a bit disappointed because it has a lot of parallelism, but nevermind that because of Jin and KAME. Because of those 2 I went listening to KAT-TUN. That went for about a month, because I liked some of their songs {and some solos even, and LIVE songs since they are newly-debuted}. It just faded away suddenly. Haha. IDK WHY. I still like some of their songs, though. AND! When I searched for YT on KAT-TUN music videos, the first vid I came upon was SEISHUN AMIGO. WHUT, I thought there was supposed to be 6 of them?! And who the hell is the other guy? KAMEEE~ *drool* And Yuto. YES. Hahahaha. That time I was like that. xD Found the 6-member KAT-TUN videos and yeah.

Someone recommended Nobuta wo Produce and One Litre of Tears. Before I got hold of those 2 dramas, I was curious why am I seeing NEWS everywhere when I started digging up more on JE. Then I decided to watch a vid in YT – CHERISH. WELL HEY THAR ALIENS!! {READ: YAMAPI} I liked the vid, and the fangirls flailing in the song. Of course, who else would you notice but YAMAPI? It’s like Yamapi and FRIENDS- LOL. That’s what it had always been until their hiatus. *points at CD covers*

Watched 1Litre and the emoness of Asou Haruto sank to me. I cannot believe I haven’t been fangirling over him liek whoa. Ryo is an amazing person with a poison tongue I so like. GACHAPIN BEYBEH~ HAHAHAHA. I started watching Shounen Club and WHO’S THAT GUY BESIDE NAKAMARU? Search. I fell in love with Keichan because I thought the was TALL {AND THIS IS NO RANDOM IDEA. BELIEVE ME, I LOVE KEICHAN.}. I like tall guys {HELLO TACCHON MY LOVE}. xDDD Nino and Ohchan are exceptions, but I don’t like them “this way” like Tacchon and Keichan. You know. :P Keichan has good taste in style that Tego imitates him. One reason why he.. you know, EVOLVED LIKE A POKEMON.

Thea went to my house and she showed me Kanfuu Fighting. WARRACHAINA! never left my mind for 3days. 3months before that, I DL-ed the K8 discography {from 2004-2006} which I never listened to again, after a day of listening to all of the songs. All I remember was this song Heavenly Psycho and Eden are so much love I fell in love {redundant? xD}. I discovered more, and wondered why Ate Katz {and Thea} liked Tacchon a lot {not anymore, I guess, she decided to stick with Arashi because fangirling other groups would be difficult. BUT NOW, I CANNOT IGNORE EITO. ♥ NEVER.}. I never thought I’d like him because I like Ryo a lot, as in A LOT ILHIMSM2HIM. That Luke would probably keel me for kissing him in my dreams. Come on, I had Ryo dreams for more than 3days, and he appears until now. I love Ryo. Hahaha. I read more about Eito and found out about their history and awesomeness and here I am, Eighter. ;)

OKAY ANYWAY. DONE FOR COMMENT ANNEX A. LET’S GO TO COMMENT ANNEX B. XDDDDDD

HIRO~ I never remembered him or associated him with Jun until someone pointed it out to me that he looks like Jun. He was so cool in HanaKimi, sorry Tendou-sama you are cool but I like playboy roles better. HAHAHAHA. HE IS A KEIO BOY AND CAN SPEAK ENGLISH. JAPAN. NOW! Get yourself in trouble and Kamen Rider Kabuto shall save you. ORE WAS STRONGEST!! >D

On JPop, I currently like aiko. She’s from Osaka too {SO WHUT? XD} I liekd her voice, and her songs are mostly mellow and will make you either fall asleep or doze off, but I think that’s the same, no?

IN CONCLUSION, I LOVE TACCHON. ♥

tl;dr for your first comment. ILU TACCHON MELLIE!

P.S. I now know why it won’t work. The strike html tag is not accepted. Boy, blogger sucks. xD Hahaha. I kid.

LOL. Now we can’t consider this as tl;dr anymore cause we both took the time to read and reply on each other’s entries, haha.

I haven’t seen Azumi, and Shun actually scared me on Gokusen, lol. ‘What’s up with his hair?’ I thought. It was Hanazawa Rui that made me appreciate him. But Tsukasa still pwned. :D

Lol, that ‘alien’ thing reminds me of a post over at je_secrets. :D I’m just grateful I saw him first both in Nobuta and Stand Up, I became aware of how he evolved from being skinny to being hot (Hallo thar Kurosagi, I’m sooo dead senorita).

No, how could I forget to mention Ai Igai no Nandemonai? That sexy Osaka Man. :D More stripping, err, I mean dramas please, I wanna see more of you. (Damn, now I hate it why we can’t use strike through.) And yes, Eito can never be ignored. That group’s just full of love. 8→1

As for Hiro, I think I’d still be biased and love my Kamen Rider, lol. For me he’s like the most awesome character since, err, Power Rangers? :D DDD The drill is ‘Skip the fight scenes, drool over Tendou Souji’. haha.

I’ll listen to Aiko’s songs when I have time. :)

In conclusion, well, let’s just say Tacchon loves you too, :D even if he let someone grab his, uhmm, y’know in Utahime. lol.

  3. Yori Says:

    LOL. I actually liked his hair. It kinda remidns me of an iguana. xD Ahaha. I don’t know why I got hold of Azumi because it’s my Tita’s DVD {SEE? NOT ME. :P }

I thought I was the only one who thought Pi was an alien back then. D: Yes, now you are so dead senorita. xDD

DEMAND FOR THE STRIKE-THROUGH!! JKASDJKLJKL Ai Iga no Nandemonai~ (*__*) 8→1, one reason why I love Tacchon. xD

LOL. I guess you’d really be biased on him. xD

YES! I am now feeling bad for not watching Utahime ATM. Bu I am DL-ing~ :D D xD

  4. LhuKhE Says:

Ahhh, the truth is.. I feel envious when I was reading your entry.. >_>;; I can’t even remember how I really got to know Ryo, and stuff like that..

I didn’t know exactly how I got into the fandom.. xDDD Damn you, poor memory

  5. melliemelll Says:

@luke: I tend to forget a lot of things but this fandom is so special I just had to take note of those essential moments. lol
